How to Block Website Categories

With HT Parental Controls, you have the ability to block access to multiple categories of websites. This allows you to easily block thousands of websites with just a few clicks, ensuring that your child does not have access to inappropriate or time-wasting content. We have carefully evaluated and compiled thousands of potentially inappropriate websites and keywords, categorizing them based on their content, such as social networks, adult content, violence, and more. You can choose from up to 10 categories.

  1. Go to Rules > Website Limits.
  2. Choose «Block» for the categories of websites you consider inappropriate.
  3. Select «Limit» for the categories of websites you want to set time limits on. Configure the time parameters and schedule according to your preferences.

How to block website categories

The Content Filtering by Category feature contains thousands of sites and keywords. However, we cannot guarantee 100% efficiency as new websites are constantly being created. If you come across a website that belongs to a blocked category but is not being blocked, you can add it to the Custom list or the Blocklist on the Website Blocking tab. Additionally, please let us know about it, and we will add it to our database to enhance our blocking capabilities.
On the other hand, if there are specific sites or keywords that you want to allow but are currently blocked, you can easily add them to the Allowlist on Website Blocking tab.
